The “AR” Series is a multi-purpose connector used in aerospace, military and computer periphery applications. These connectors are available in five shell styles with up to four insert cavities. Inserts in this product line accommodate signal and power contacts in sizes 12, 16, 20 and 22. Coaxial contacts are available in sizes 5 and 9. Insert arrangements are available utilizing a single type contact or a combination of standard and coaxial contacts. Non-environmental and environmentally sealed connectors are offered. The environmental sealing is accomplished by wire sealing grommets and interfacial seals.
The ARINC 600 is the successor to the ARINC 404 for many of the new avionic designs. Compared to the ARINC 404, the ARINC 600 features lower mating force contacts, increased contact count and a front release, floating keying system. Amphenol’s extensive product offering will meet the most demanding needs of our customers. At the design-in stage, Amphenol’s sales engineers will work with you to select a connector from our standard product line or coordinate the design of an application specific connector. Amphenol’s ARINC 600 rack and panel connectors are designed to meet all relevant ARINC 600 connector specifications.
The R39 provides high performance in the severe environment demands of military specifications. Its lower profile translates into a smaller space-saving footprint and the new rectangular orientation provides additional installation options. It is also available in a high density, 127 pin contact version providing a wider range of engineering applications. It delivers the same reliable, familiar benefits found in our 38999 connector: effortless installation; blind push pull mating; extreme durability; quick mate and; “scoop-proof” recessed pin design. Using the same wide range of contacts, and the crimp and insert /removal tooling as 38999, it delivers just a little more.
164F – MIL-C-55116 Filtered Audio Connectors
Amphenol’s 164F series is a line of filtered MIL-C-55116 U-183( )/U audio connectors for use in army, airborne, and naval transceiver applications. Designed specifically for man-pack, vehicle mounted, shipboard or aircraft installed applications, the 164F series offers communication security and ECCM capabilities. Two connector lengths are offered for maximum flexibility in new or existing product applications. The standard version is dimensionally identical to current industry standards for filtered audio connectors. The shorter version offers space savings, allowing easier design into smaller radio sets or retrofits of non-filtered equipments. Low cost uniplanar Pi technology in combination with Amphenol’s stress isolation design results in a shorter, lighter connector with superior thermal and physical shock capabilities. Both 5 & 6 pin versions are available with either solder cup or P.C.B. terminations.
308 – Filtered MIL-C-24308 Connectors
Amphenol offers a variety of filtered D–Sub connectors to address aerospace and commercial EMI requirements. There are two products in particular which are designed for aerospace applications where high reliability and superior environmental and elec trical performance are required. The 481 series of filtered D–Sub connectors has been in production for over 20 years using tubular capacitor filter technology. In the late 1980’s, Amphenol developed a planar filter capacitor version of the sameconnector, the 308 series. As a result, Amphenol has the widest product offering in the industry and can provide either technology as the application and production requirements dictate. 308 Series – Planar Capacitor Technology superior pin–pin cross talk isolation cost effective for small quantities can accommodate a wider range of capacitance values than planar designs fully tooled in medium density pin and selected socket and high density arrangements short production.
482 – MIL-C-26482 Style Filter Connectors
Amphenol’s 482 series is a line of filtered MIL-C-26482 style connectors for use in military/aerospace applications. The 482 series offers significant advantages over conventional fixed contact filter connectors by providing the user with a programm able and repairable filter connector. Filter contacts need not be installed into connectors at the factory, but can be installed or serviced at the system manufacturing or field level in a manner similar to standard, non-filter contacts. Availablein rear release (486 series) or front release versions, the connector will accept filter, power and ground contacts or EMI sealing plugs in any position. For further technical information or price and delivery, please contact your nearest Amphenol sales representative or contact the factory directly.
485 – Filtered Arinc Connector
The Amphenol 485 series is a range of filtered ARINC 404 and 600 rack and panel connectors designed to provide space and cost-effective solutions to EMC compliance issues in avionics products. Amphenol’s filtered ARINC connectors are used extensively on Boeing, McDonnell Douglas and Airbus avionics equipment and a wide range of other military and commercial applications. The majority of the Amphenol filtered ARINC connector designs incorporate planar capacitor array technology in a solderless, stress-isolated configuration. This results in superior thermal and physical shock performance and unparalleled long term reliability. These products have been extensively qualified to the requirements of ARINC 600-9 and MIL-C-81659 and there are numerous qualification test reports available for review.
FD308 - Filtered D-Sub Connectors, Ruggedized
Amphenol’s FD308 Filtered connectors are available in the full range of standard and high-density insert arrangements, either pin or socket. These connectors are supplied with fixed screw machine contacts and are available in Straight or Right Angle PCB terminations and Solder Cup.
13 – MIL-C-83513 Style Filter Connectors
Amphenol Canada’s M13 connector series is a range of filtered MIL-C-83513 Micro-D products for military and aerospace applications. These extremely small (0.050″ center spacing) filter connectors employ monolithic planar capacitors in a rugged, high density package ideally suited for applications where space and weight is restricted. Available in a variety of filter types and mechanical configurations, including wired harnesses, the M13 series are fully intermateable with all standard MIL-C-8351 3 connectors and meet the applicable performance and environmental requirements.
